In 2015, the Ministry of Science, Information and Communications Technology of Bangladesh decided to launch the first National Data Centre project, to be built at the KALIAKOIR High Technology Park in the capital, Dhaka, covering an area of 28,000 square metres. Project components include data centre building, data centre equipment, data centre support facilities, related upper level applications, etc, The project was built by ZTE and completed by the Shanghai Branch of EDRI. with a total construction area of about 20,000 square meters and a total investment of more than 1 billion yuan in the project.
